My 3 Step Routine
to Achieving the
Perfect Peachy
Nude Lip
beauty bible
It’s no secret that I’m a sucker for a good neutral lipstick no matter the occasion and as a self-confessed lipstick junkie, I truly believe that nude lipsticks deserve a permanent place in every girl’s makeup collection. So, today, I’m comin’ atcha with the first (of many more) blog posts in my “Beauty Bible” series!

“ANNIE, WHAT LIPSTICK ARE YOU WEARING?”
Believe it or not, it’s one of the questions I get asked most often and I think its about time I settle the question by sharing each product I use to achieve the nude lip combo that I’ve been rockin’ on repeat lately. So, if you’re on the hunt for some neutral lip options to add to your current beauty repertoire, continue reading to learn my 3 step routine to achieving this fail-proof pout.
1.
LIP LINER BY KYLIE COSMETICS
IN THE SHADE “GINGER”
This liner actually comes in a lip kit which contains both a lip pencil and a matching matte liquid lipstick. They describe the shade to be a “warm terracotta brown” which is perfection on olive skin tones like mine btw. The lip liner is a super creamy texture and glides on effortlessly, like a dream. I own 6 different shades of them because I’m obsessed with the long lasting formula and how comfortable they feel on my lips. I’ve actually run out of the matte liquid lipstick in this duo because I wore it daily for months. No need to panic though because I’ve discovered a similar one while perusing the aisles of my local Sephora, leading us to step #2 of my current lipstick routine.
2.
MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK BY MORPHE COSMETICS
IN THE SHADE “PEANUT”
After lining my lips, I follow up with a thin layer of this lipstick as a base. Trust me when I say that a little goes a long way with this product because it is highly pigmented. The shade is described to be a “spicy sienna” which I find to be complementing on so many different skin tones. I recommend hydrating your lips before applying as the finish dries down to a velvety matte and can tend to pull dry if you skip this step but its the price you pay for the kiss-proof factor of a liquid lipstick and that, my friends, is a fair trade to me! I should also mention that the price point is on the more affordable spectrum of lip products offered at Sephora. You can obviously stop here, but I always love layering lipsticks for a custom lip color.
3.
MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK BY MORPHE COSMETICS
IN THE SHADE “TAUNT”
This third product is a crucial step in my lipstick routine because it helps me achieve a fuller lip look — no lip fillers or botox required here! They describe this shade to be a “toasted almond” which is slightly lighter than the “peanut” shade I mentioned in step 2 and its what’s going to give us that contoured effect that will add depth & dimension. I start by applying a light layer to my lips, focusing heavily on the center parts and then gently dabbing the product into that area with my ring finger, avoiding the outer corner of the lips. You can also use a lip brush but the whole idea is to just make sure that all harsh lines are blended to perfection for a seamless finish,
